Overview: The Worcestershire Apprenticeship Awards 2025 celebrated the achievements of apprentices, employers, and training providers from across the county. The annual awards play a key role in recognising excellence, raising the profile of apprenticeships, and highlighting their positive impact on individuals, businesses, and the wider local economy.
The event brought together finalists, sponsors, and employers for an evening dedicated to celebrating success and inspiring future apprenticeship opportunities across Worcestershire.
Planning for the awards began four to five months in advance, allowing time to carefully plan every technical and creative detail. Setup took place over two days, with six Mercian Events crew members managing the build and four technicians running the awards on the night to ensure a smooth and professional delivery.
We delivered a full AV and staging package designed to give a strong visual impact for the awards and ensure every winner’s moment on stage was celebrated properly. This included an 8-speaker PA system for clear audio throughout the room and a 7m x 2.5m LED wall as the main focal point. Branded set wraps were installed either side of the LED screen, alongside a 10mwide stage finished with white event carpet to create a clean, professional look.
An acrylic lectern was installed for the host, while eight moving head LED fixtures added energy and impact during award presentations. Stage wash and spot lighting were installed from the rear of the room to ensure presenters and winners were consistently well lit.
To enhance the guest experience, four large LED monitors were installed in the entrance walkway, displaying an event reel during guest arrival and departure and helping to build atmosphere beyond the main awards space.
Filming of the event was handled by the client’s external suppliers, with Mercian Events working alongside them to ensure seamless integration with the live production.
We delivered a professional and engaging celebration that recognised the achievements of apprentices and employers across the county. With professional AV production, impactuful staging, and a hands-on technical team, the event ran seamlessly and created a memorable experience for everyone involved.
