Overview: The National Grid CFO Conference brought together senior finance leaders for three days of discussion, collaboration, and connection. Designed to provide a relaxed yet professional setting, the event encouraged open dialogue around key business objectives, innovation, and team culture.
Mercian Events worked closely with the client to deliver a complete end-to-end production for the conference. Preparation and setup were completed within 4–6 hours, ensuring a smooth start to the event. The crew on the day included two lead technicians, supported by four more Mercian Events crew members for setup and de-rig.
The production featured a full stage and set wrap, ultra short-throw projection with screen, and professional audio and lighting to enhance the conference environment. Key technical elements included:
- Acrylic lectern with stage wash lighting
- Two relay TV screens for delegate visibility
- Breakout rooms equipped with TVs and laptops
- LED set lighting behind the stage for visual depth and atmosphere
- Dedicated DJ booth and karaoke setup for evening entertainment
The evening sessions brought a fun, social element to the event with delegates enjoying a games night and a DJ and karaoke night – an opportunity to connect informally after the day’s sessions.
