From Warehouse to Conference Venue: Delivering a 700-Person Staff Event for Kohler Mira
Transforming a working warehouse into a fully equipped conference venue is no small task—but that’s exactly what we delivered for Kohler Mira’s 2026 staff roadshow.
Working with Kohler Mira, our team at Mercian Events was brought in to produce a large-scale internal conference for around 700 employees. The goal was to create a professional, engaging environment where teams from across the UK could come together to hear key updates on business performance, future strategy, and sustainability initiatives.
Turning Vision into Reality
The event took place inside Kohler Mira’s 158,000 sq ft operational warehouse in Worcester. With day-to-day operations continuing around us, careful planning and collaboration were essential from the very start.
Over a six-month planning period, we designed a full technical production solution, covering staging, lighting, audio, and video. Every detail was considered to ensure the space could be safely and effectively transformed without disrupting the working environment.
Build Day: 10 Hours, 18 Crew, One Transformation
On installation day, our 18-person crew completed a full build in just 10 hours. The result was a professional conference setup featuring an 18-metre-wide stage and a large-format LED screen, ensuring every attendee had a clear view of the presentations.
Following the build, we carried out full programming and rehearsals to make sure everything ran seamlessly ahead of the live event.
Delivering on the Day
The final presentation ran for approximately 75 minutes, supported by six on-site technicians managing sound, lighting, and video throughout. The event ran smoothly, creating a polished and engaging experience for everyone in attendance.
Safety and Collaboration
Delivering an event of this scale within a live warehouse environment required close coordination with Kohler Mira’s health and safety team. By working together, we ensured all installation and production activity was carried out safely alongside ongoing operations.
